Gujarat Government has launched a scheme to provide insurance coverage in case of accidental death / permanent sickness to the resident farmers of the state from the auspicious day of 7th January. This scheme is a 5% state government sponsored scheme. In this scheme, the insurance premium is paid by the state government on behalf of all the farmers in the state. This scheme is being implemented under the Gujarat Collective Group, People's Accident Insurance Scheme. Implemented by the Director of Insurance, Gandhinagar from 9/8/9. Purpose The main objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to the hereditary farmer, any offspring (son / daughter) of the farmer and the spouse of the farmer in case of accidental death or permanent loss. Assistance to whom: All landholder farmers who hold land in individual or joint name, any offspring (son / daughter) of the tenant farmer as well as spouse of the tenant farmer, in case of accidental death or permanent disappearance, who are between the ages of 3 to 6 years are eligible to benefit in the scheme. General Chat Chat Lounge The main conditions are that the deceased or permanently disabled person himself / herself is the tenant farmer (holding the land in individual or joint name) or the offspring farmer (son / daughter) or spouse of the tenant farmer.
