Who can get the benefits?
  • The Financial Assistance Scheme for the destitute elderly and destitute disabled is implemented in the State from 1/4/3.
  • Depressed elderly people 7 years of age or older
  • Must not have a son aged 6 years or over
  • The benefit may come if the son of an adult is mentally unstable or suffering from a serious illness like cancer, TB.
  • The annual income of the applicant should not be more than Rs. 5 / - for urban area and Rs.
  • Must have been a permanent resident of Gujarat state for at least 3 years.

What is the benefit?
  • If the applicant's age is 5 years or more, monthly Rs. 400/ -
  • Money will be sent to the beneficiary with a money order.
